Digital accessibility statement

Under the Information Technology Policy, all UC locations must:

  • Adhere to the UC IT Accessibility Requirements, including the establishment of an IT accessibility program.
  • Develop, purchase and acquire, to the extent feasible, hardware and software products that are accessible to people with disabilities.
  • Promote awareness of this policy to all members of the university community, particularly those in roles responsible for creating, selecting or maintaining electronic content and applications.

Technology acquisitions
Technology products purchased, used or supported by the campus should be reviewed for accessibility before purchase via University of California Guidelines for Purchasing Accessible IT Products or Services. Such reviews may include extensive testing and collaboration with vendors as appropriate. Equally effective access plans are created for technology products that are not fully accessible.
