Sol Silverman Oral Medicine Clinic
The UCSF Sol Silverman Oral Medicine Clinic provides world-renowned expertise in the diagnosis and management of oral diseases. Our specialists care for patients with potentially malignant oral disorders, oral cancer, lichen planus, vesiculobullous disorders and other immune-mediated diseases, oral complications of cancer therapies, orofacial pain disorders (including burning mouth syndrome), oral infectious conditions, HIV-related oral diseases and Sjögren’s syndrome, among others.
Our team's top priority is to provide you with excellent, patient-centered care. Services include outpatient and inpatient oral medicine consultations, biopsy of oral lesions, oral health consultations prior to head and neck radiation, dental hygiene services (including care for patients with special needs) and telemedicine.
Before seeing one of our oral medicine specialists, you'll meet with an oral medicine resident and/or student (working under faculty supervision), who will review your past medical history and do an examination. The attending oral medicine specialist will then see you together with the resident and student.
