Pancreas Center
The UCSF Pancreas Center diagnoses and treats patients with a wide range of pancreatic disorders, from benign tumors to pancreatitis and cancer. Our team includes specialists in anesthesia, gastroenterology, neurology, nursing, psychology and surgery. Patients may have the opportunity to participate in studies – called clinical trials – of the latest experimental therapies.
The Pancreas Center was founded in 2012 by Dr. Margaret Tempero. Our mission is to advance the care of patients with pancreatic diseases through prevention, early detection, individual treatment and research. Our patient care practice is located in the Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology Clinic at Mission Bay. Our specialists also treat patients in the Gastrointestinal Surgery Clinic at Parnassus.
