Dr. Shih is the first doctor to thoroughly explain my epilepsy using a photo to show the area of the brain affected.

Dr. Tina Shih is a genuinely compassionate kind and knowledgeable provider!!! She is amazing and has the best bedside manner. She is very attentive to my needs and care. She always does her best to care for me at all times regardless of the circumstances.

Everything has been going pretty good helping me with all my problems

Doctor Shih is the consummate professional we met about paperwork which I know it's a big hassle as I got denied disability after having brain surgery a few months ago and she was patient listen to my concerns and email the letter directly addressing all the medical concerns of the disability company. Very professional solved all my problems listen to me very well and is a very loving thoughtful and professional provider

Dr. Shih is absolutely the greatest. She listens to my concerns and gives me excellent advice and options on my care. She is absolutely fanatic. Wish all my providers where like her.

Dr. Tina Shih is just Wonderful even in this first visit.

The only draw back is Dr Shih seems difficult to book with which likely is our of her control. She recommended a 6 week follow up since I'm beginning new medication but the system will only let me book 12 weeks from now at the earliest... This seems like a problem. When I tried to email the system was having a problem and I was unable to send the email.

I recommend Dr Shih to anyone in need of her speciality even my clients!!! Dr Shih is a delight to speak with well informed

Good communication

I feel that my provider Dr. Shih is a very good neurologist and as in the case of most doctors they have to practice medicine by viewing patients according to a "bell curve" protocol. Unfortunately not all patients may fall within that "bell curve" and thus may lose out on valuable treatment for his or epilepsy. In my case I have auditory visual sensory absence petite mal generalized tonic clonic nocturnal seizures drop seizures as well as seizures that occur on one side of my body; according to reports from family members would have rapid right hand movement while having a seizure. I would also have nocturnal seizures. I have all these different types of seizures and yet I am barred from having access to Epidolex which is a CBD based epilepsy medication which in my opinion I would be a perfect candidate for. But I was told by my neurologist that she would be unable to prescribe that medication for me. Maybe it's because I don't fall within that "bell curve." But it is my option that there are always exceptions to the rules. No one knows if I have Dravet syndrome or for that matter Lennox Gastaut syndrome. My family is a family with many members who suffer with severe forms of epilepsy from birth some with cognitive impairment from childhood (unable to go to school) therefore some severe some mild. Some without. These are my reasons for stating that not everyone falls within that "bell curve."

I have been seeing Dr. Shih for many years. She is a very capable doctor. She knows and understands your medical health and needs. She tries to give the best care possible in relation to your illness while including you in her decision making. Dr. Shih also shows a keen interest in my family dynamics because she is aware that someone's family dynamics can have a bearing on their health. She has shown care compassion and a willingness to listen to my opinions taking them into consideration. She is also professional while showing all of the above qualities. I would gladly recommend her to anyone.
