Dr. Marta San Luciano specializes in diagnosing and managing movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease, dystonia, essential tremor and myoclonus. She has special interests in caring for patients whose genetic background may increase their risk of Parkinson's disease and dystonia, and in developing biomarkers and measuring outcomes in movement disorders.

San Luciano received her medical degree from the University of Navarra in Spain and earned a master's degree in clinical research methods from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed an internship in internal medicine at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York and a residency in neurology at Boston University Medical Center. She also served as a clinical and research fellow in movement disorders at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in New York.

In 2008, San Luciano was awarded a Clinical Research Training Fellowship by the American Academy of Neurology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society and Parkinson Study Group.
